Congresso2From 28 to 30 April, 2018 the three branches of Salvatorian Family from Brazil gather together in a Congress at Mariapolis Centre in São Paulo to celebrate the Centenary of Death of Fr. Francis Jordan as well as to deep the apostolic aspect of the Salvatorian Family Charter. The theme of the Congress was “Fr. Jordan: faithful apostle of Jesus, the Savior”. In this event the Salvatorians reflected on the history of the Salvatorian Family in Brazil in light of the Salvatorian Charism vocation-identity and the call of the Church to be Salvatorians that “go forth”, according Pope Francis exhortation (EG,20-24). At the end the Congress consented to embrace two priorities for all Salvatorians to be developed on the next years: Revitalization of our Salvatorian Apostolic Identity, living our specific vocation in each branch; and the preferential option for the Formation of the Youth, as a new Salvatorian apostolic-missionary expression.

1Salvatorian Medical Mission was initiated in the year 2010 together with Immaculate Conception Sisters. The beneficiaries are indigenous Mangyans people. There are eight different Mangyan tribes with their own languages and culture. They live in remote forests in the mountains. Since there exists no regular medical care for these indigenous groups, the Salvatorian Medical Mission is always an extraordinary event for Mangyan minority. The regular participants of this mission are Salvatorian priests, theology and philosophy students, novices, some members of Father Jordan Youth, doctors, nurses, teachers and religious sisters.

fam celebThe Salvatorian Family of Austria and friends gathered on 23 September 2017 at Kalwang, Province of Styria for their 32nd Annual Gathering. The focus of the gathering this year was the worldwide works of the Salvatorian Sisters in the spirit of the charism of our Founder, Fr. Francis Jordan as we prepare to celebrate the Centenary of his Death in 2018. We were all very impressed with the images and descriptions of these. It made us feel proud of our Sisters.
